Thanks for listening ___ we'll see you there. Bye bye.”

Subject:Press Release 1/23/10
Time:06:18 pm
I'm going to try to keep this message as short as possible.

Since Memorial Day 2009, Andrea, Applecore, and I have brought "Three Mics No Sleep" to the airwaves nearly every Friday night. Unfortunately, just before showtime last night, Applecore informed us that as a result of personal difficulties, he would no longer be part of the 3MNS cast.

Luckily, "Prime Krew" host Austin Prime © has agreed to take Applecore's position as often as possible. During shows that Austin cannot cover, Andrea and I will find a fill-in or host the show as a duet.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Best regards, and as always thanks for listening!

Subject:Official Malisson Radio announcement
Time:06:55 pm
This is an official statement regarding the removal of "The DJ B.O.B. Show" from the Malisson Radio lineup. This is not a press release or a publicly-announced document, but rather one to be distributed to all parties concerned with the removal of the program.

After much deliberation, the administrators of Malisson Radio voted unanimously to remove "The DJ B.O.B. Show" from the lineup permanently. It was not an easy decision, but it was an imperitive one for the sake of the station's overall professionalism and entertainment value.

There have been some concerns that the removal of the program was due to one or two isolated incidents. While we can't comment on the specific reasons for the show's removal, we would like to make it perfectly clear that the show was removed due to an ongoing struggle that lasted for multiple weeks during the show's run.

It is important to note that while Malisson Radio is a fun and friendly environment for its members and listeners alike, we also strive to maintain a professional radio station. Unlike sites such as YouTube and LastFM, which require only a free signup to create your own show, Malisson Radio accepts applications for volunteer personalities to provide professional, entertaining content. New jocks must go through a rigorous audition process and consistently provide a show that is of the same quality as exemplified in those auditions.

To those who are disappointed by the removal of this program, we offer our most heartfelt apologies. To those involved with the show, we thank you for your dedication during the short time that you were with us. Malisson Radio's cast, administration, and listeners wish nothing but the best for all of our station's alumni.

Any concerns regarding this issue may be directed to station manager CJ Malm. All contact information is available at www.malissonradio.com.

Hey Malisson Radio fans,

We really, really don't like asking for stuff. We're here to serve you, not the other way around, and we realize the last thing you want to do is pay for a radio station that you could be listening to for free.

So here's the deal: By clicking the

button on our home page (and yes, the one in this blog works too!), you can now donate anything from $0.01 to $10.00 to $1,000 ... the sky's the limit! This will help us cover our expenses!

If you'd rather give us material items than money, here's a list of things we need:

- A 2.5" USB hard drive, 500GB or more
- An external mic mixer (for example, http://tinyurl.com/micmixer)
- A new automation system ($300-$500 - please inquire before donating)
- A new computer for live broadcasts (must be a POWERHOUSE ... please inquire before donating)
- A new cordless phone system; handset MUST have 2.5mm or 3.5mm headset jack
- Podcast management software (please inquire before donating)

Thank you for your continued support!

Dear Malisson Radio Fans,

Last night's chat was a huge success, thanks to everyone who showed up! We've decided to keep the station going and slowly but surely work towards improving it!

But the catch is ... you have to listen! Otherwise it's no longer worth it for us to keep the station going. So tune in now, and tune in often -- especially to our shows and special events!

As always, you can reach me by e-mailing cj@malissonradio.com. I welcome any questions or comments. Thanks again, and enjoy the station!

Best regards,

Subject:PLEASE READ!
Time:11:22 am

Dear Malisson Radio Fans,

Thank you for the overwhelming rush of support, as well as questions and concerns regarding the future of Malisson Radio. I've come to understand that there is a significant enough fan base to merit the return of the station, and I intend to make that happen. Unfortunately, technical issues are preventing scheduled shows and events from running smoothly at all times. My hectic academic schedule interferes with my ability to troubleshoot or manually operate the station's automation software and it seems that few people (if any) are able to assist me. It becomes disheartening when I put a vast amount of work into creating, promoting, and implementing special events that listeners aren't tuning in for (and yes, I can track listenership).

So, in order for this station to continue running, I'll need your help. This Monday, September 28 at 10:00 PM Eastern, please visit MalissonRadio.Com. I will be broadcasting live on the home page with our chat room re-opened so that DJs, listeners, and administrators can discuss how to make Malisson Radio a better listening experience. The event could last anywhere from a half-hour to two hours, depending on how well it goes. Please attend, even if you've never listened to the station - input from both listeners and non-listeners will make a huge difference!

As always, you can reach me by e-mailing cj@malissonradio.com. I welcome any questions or comments. See you Monday night, and thank you again for everything!

Best regards,

Dear Malisson Radio Fans,

It was not an easy decision to shut off Malisson Radio. This project has been a pride of mine for nearly two years now, beginning as a small WinAmp broadcast running off the laptop that I was carrying to and from classes. It's since grown into its own dedicated broadcasting computer with more DJs than I ever thought possible, and a slowly growing fan base that has already shown a vast amount of support for the station in the less than 24 hours it's been off air.

Unfortunately, the station is an extreme burden for one person to run. While I'm thankful for my DJs, as well as the few who have assisted me with the web site over the years, the effort has been largely my own for these past two years. When everything worked properly, I was very proud to call it my own. Lately, however, that has not been the case. Technical difficulties have caused everything from station outages to canceled and interrupted programming. Explicit and inappropriate music airs on the station almost daily despite my best efforts to "clean up" the airwaves. Entire events, which I spend many hours promoting, have been canceled because the computer decided not to cooperate.

Fans, I am a full-time student, holding down 11 hours of class time, 16+ hours at my internship, and 10 hours at both of my on-campus paid jobs... and that's not including the amount of time I have to spend on out-of-class studies. That averages to about 50-60 hours of work each week, outside of Malisson Radio or my personal life. I simply don't have the time or resources to repeatedly fix problems that continue to happen with no explanation.

One of two things need to happen in order to save Malisson Radio. I either need a dedicated and trustworthy staff who know what they're doing with in-depth computer coding, or I need to see such a vast and dedicated fan base that it's worth it for me to keep the station running. If I don't see that happening by the next billing cycle for my station's financial expenses, Malisson Radio may no longer be available to the listening public.

As always, you can reach me by e-mailing cj@malissonradio.com. I welcome any questions or comments.

Best regards,

C.J. Malm

As you've probably guessed, this blog has become an outlet for longer, more in-depth posts than can be offered through Twitter (www.twitter.com/malissonradio), but that are not urgent enough to warrant a Facebook notification (www.tinyurl.com/malissonfb). We recommend subscribing to both of those features for more frequently updated information.

As you also may have noticed, Malisson Radio has been experiencing many technical difficulties lately. While some of these problems are caused by the nature of our broadcast hardware (that is, a computer whose BIOS will not allow it to automatically power on after a power outage), others are caused by errors in our broadcasting software that cause sporadic dead air and inability to play files that it should be compatible with.

The bottom line is, tomorrrow night (on Monday, July 20, 2009), we will be conducting extensive maintenance on the Malisson Radio broadcast computer. This will include a clean swipe of the broadcast software and a manual attempt at fixing the hardware situation. This means that our "general rotation" will be unavailable, and we will instead be broadcasting a collection of previously-aired material from the Malisson Radio archives. This could be a simple one-hour fix, or it could take as long as 24 hours. We will keep you posted with more detailed information on our Twitter account and in the Malisson Radio live chat, which has recently been upgraded to an IRC chat that is viewable on our home page at www.malissonradio.com.

If you have any questions about this maintenance period, you are welcome to contact station manager C.J. Malm at (603) 770-9817 between the hours of 3PM and 10PM Eastern Time on Monday, or via e-mail at cj@malissonradio.com 24 hours a day. Please note that we have provided you with C.J.'s PRIVATE telephone number as an effort at providing quality customer service, and as such, we ask that you do not abuse the privilege of this knowledge or attempt to call C.J. for any non-Malisson-Radio-related business or outside of the allowed calling times listed above.

Best Regards,
The Malisson Radio Staff
